50hr Myofascial Release Training
Fascia and Nervous System Education from a Trauma-Informed Lens
Continuing education for movement and wellness professionals
New date options: October 2026 or February 2027
About the Training — Please Read
This unique and comprehensive training program offers education in myofascial release using therapy balls, fascial tending practices (shaking, rocking, sounding, and developmental somatics), orientation exercises, interoceptive tracking, and therapeutic movement. Through a trauma-informed lens, we explore the intersection between the nervous system and fascia, and learn how survival physiology and emotions are held in the body. Learn practical applications to teach to your students/clients that address tension, improve mobility, reduce pain, and restore coherence. The tools and insights you’ll gain can be seamlessly integrated into public yoga classes, movement sessions, breathwork, and one-on-one healing work.

Meet Your Course Instructor
Ayesha is a somatic practitioner with over a decade of experience in the wellness industry. She created HealthyHips® Method: a unique, evidence-based approach to therapeutic movement that blends the modalities of clinical somatics, myofascial release, therapeutic mobility, nervous system regulation techniques, and yoga therapy.
Her professional foundation and educational background is rooted in trauma-informed yoga therapy, registered massage therapy (RMT), and medical acupuncture. Her years of clinical experience have cultivated a strong grasp of anatomy, therapeutic principles, and a deep commitment to compassionate, high-quality care. She provided over 4700 patient sessions in her time at Embody Health Centre, through acupuncture/dry needling, soft tissue release and manual therapy, therapeutic ultrasound, and yoga therapy.
In her time working in healthcare, Ayesha has witnessed first hand how rehabilitative movement exercises are a crucial part of treatment with patients to yield long-term and lasting results. The problem being that most patients forget to do their homecare, mainly because they lack access to quality content they could use in the comfort of their own homes.
Ayesha made it her mission to provide accessible therapeutic movement to the general population, giving her the purpose and drive to create HealthyHips®
Ayesha is a member of the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO), a member of the International Association of Yoga Therapists (IAYT), and a graduate of the McMaster University Contemporary Medical Acupuncture Program, supported by the university’s Department of Anesthesia.
In addition, Ayesha educates movement and wellness professionals (YACEP®) in the topics of musculoskeletal anatomy, somatics, myofascial release, and nervous system education. She has trained over 400 professionals in these areas of study to date.
